He criticized the lack of fresh talent in PSL’s music selections, stating, "Pakistan has so many amazing artists. Yet almost half of our anthems have been given to the same middle-aged dude, despite franchises raising concerns."
Tareen further questioned the league’s approach, adding, "They talk about making this the biggest PSL ever, yet keep giving space to the same recycled voices."
His remarks have ignited a debate among fans and music enthusiasts, with many supporting the call for greater diversity and new talent in PSL’s anthem production.
